About Marisa
HelloI My name is Marisa Kowalski and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward well-being. I have specialized experience in helping people with grief, chronic illness, chronic pain, caregiver stress, and a variety of mental health conditions.
I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach is relational, prioritizing building a strong, trusting connection with you. In our sessions, we’ll work together , using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy skill building, and mindfulness techniques.
These tools can help you develop effective coping strategies, navigate difficult emotions, and find ways to live a more fulfilling life, despite challenging circumstances.
I earned my Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University in 2009 and have worked in a variety of settings with diverse populations. I’m passionate about helping people cultivate resilience and find inner peace. My goal is to provide a kind and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, build upon your strengths, and create meaningful change. I look forward to connecting with you!
